Terms and Conditions for Use of co.unity Hermanus Premises
- All bookings and usage are paid in advance or on a prepaid basis
- Bookings for unity Hermanus shared workspaces are done via the co.unity online booking platform (www.co-unity.co.za) and bookings are confirmed on receipt of payment done via the co.unity online platform.
- Daily use of the unity Hermanus shared workspaces is, subject to the discretion of management, on a first-come, first-served basis. co.unity Hermanus shared workspace desk bookings are for use by one individual at a time and cannot be shared by multiple individuals.
- Bookings for unity Hermanus cubicle workspaces are done on a monthly basis via the co.unity online booking platform (www.co-unity.co.za) and bookings are confirmed on receipt of payment done via the co.unity online platform.
- Rules relating to the use of the unity Hermanus premises in general (the ”co.unity Hermanus Rules”) are set out below.
- Bookings for unity Hermanus “Private” office workspaces are done on a tri-monthly basis via the co.unity online booking platform (www.co-unity.co.za) and bookings are confirmed on receipt of payment done via the co.unity online platform. Specific rules relating to the co.unity Hermanus office workspaces (the ”co.unity Hermanus office workspaces Rules”) are set out below.
- A Customer using the unity Private office will be given the first right to renew the office space for a further 3 months, intention to do so should be given online by the 15th Day of the 3rd month.
- At all times, the unity Hermanus premises remains in the possession and control of co.unity Spaces and the use of any of the facilities therein does not in any way create any tenancy or other real property rights whatsoever.
- The unity Hermanus Rules as well as the co.unity Hermanus office workspaces Rules are primarily in place and enforced to ensure that all occupiers are afforded a professional working environment and all occupiers are required to adhere to the said rules and to enter into and use the premises in good faith and at all times mindful of the rights and obligations of other occupiers .
- Occupiers and permitted invitees are required to treat other occupiers and unity Hermanus staff with courteousy and respect at all times.
- Use of the unity Hermanus or co.unity Spaces name and logo in connection with your business is strictly prohibited. If permitted under the applicable laws, the use of the address of the premises as your registered office address is permitted.
- The use and enjoyment of any of the services offered by unity Hermanus at the premises should be kept at reasonable levels. Should management in their sole discretion deem your use of the services to be excessive then a fee will be levied for the use of such services.
- Unnecessary visits from members of the public not related to an occupier’s business activities should be limited and management reserves its rights in this regard to ask such visitors to leave the premises should their presence be deemed, at the sole discretion of management, to be disruptive to other occupiers.
- Occupiers will be held liable for any damage caused by such occupiers and/or their permitted (whether express or implied) invitees.
- unity Hermanus is responsible for the provision and upkeep of the IT infrastructure at the premises. Occupiers are not permitted to install any cabling, IT or telecom connections whatsoever.
- In order to maintain the high level of service offered at the premises, unity Hermanus reserves the right to enter any of the co.unity Hermanus cublicle workspaces and/or co.unity Hermanus Private office workspaces, at any time, including but not limited to, in cases of emergency and/or for cleaning, repair and/or inspection.
- Use of the unity Hermanus premises and co.unity Café is entirely at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, co.unity Spaces will not be responsible for any loss of damage you might suffer as a result of your use of the co.unity Hermanus premises and/or co.unity Café and/or the services offered therein including but not limited to the Data and Wi-Fi services. The loss or damage referred to herein includes but is not limited to any loss or damage arising as a result of our failure to provide a service as a result of mechanical breakdown, electrical failure, or other event outside of the reasonable control of co.unity Spaces.
- It is the responsibility of every occupier to protect your own property while on the premises and to take out suitable insurance in this regard against et al theft or damage.
- Use of the unity Hermanus premises is be strictly in accordance with government laws or regulations, including but not limited to regulations and restrictions enacted under the Disaster Management Act, 2002, relating to COVID-19 (as amended from time to time).
- Although unity Spaces have strict security internet protocols in place and although we aim to provide seamless internet connectivity, co.unity Spaces does not make any representation and cannot guarantee any maintained level of connectivity nor the security of IT information and data. It is the responsibility of each user to adopt whatever security measures you believe appropriate for your business. Any reduced connectivity issues promptly reported to management, which are within our reasonable control, will be rectified within a reasonable time following such reporting.
- unity Spaces will not under any circumstances be held liable for any loss of business, loss of profits, loss of anticipated savings, loss of or damage to data, third party claims or any consequential loss. Each occupier is encouraged to insure against any and all such potential loss, damage, expense or liability.
- unity Hermanus premises occupiers and their permitted invitees will be held liable for the costs of replacement of any property, equipment and/or furniture damaged by the said occupier and/or permitted invitees.
- The term “common areas” when used in these terms and conditions refers to ???
co.unity Hermanus Rules (these co.unity Hermanus Rules apply to all occupiers and their permitted invitees including but not limited to the occupiers and their permitted invitees of the co.unity Hermanus office workspaces as well as visitors to the co.unity Café)
- Noise and Distractions
- Given the open-plan nature of the premises, occupiers need to be considerate of others
- All noise must be kept at a reasonable level
- if occupiers wish to listen to music, watch videos etc. then earphones must be worn
- No shouting, loud talking or abusive language will be permitted
- talking on mobile phones should be done outside of the common areas and in the designated phone booth
- Illegal Substances, Alcohol and Cigarettes
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas at the unity Hermanus premises, except in the designated areas (if any)
- No illegal substances or alcohol will be permitted at the unity Hermanus premises
- Access will be denied to anybody under the influence of illegal substances and/or alcohol
- Fair Use of WI-FI
- Abusive or excessive use of WI-FI (at the sole discretion of management) will not be accepted
- WI-FI should not be used for activities that are illegal or to create content which is considered harmful to others
- Users are required to protect each other’s data privacy. The unauthorized use of or access to other user’s data is a criminal offence.
- Parking
- Parking at the front of the unity Hermanus premises is for co.unity Café customers only and is limited to 15 minutes at a time
- Undercover, paid parking must be reserved and pre-paid
- Illegal parking will result in wheel clamping and a fine of R150,00 to have care released
- Food and Beverages in Common Areas
- Heated food (including but not limited to soups) should only be consumed in the café or its outside area
- Beverages (hot and cold) may be consumed anywhere on the unity Hermanus premises
- All food and beverage packaging should be promptly disposed of in the bins provided
Co.unity Hermanus office workspaces Rules (these co.unity Hermanus office workspaces Rules apply only to occupiers and their permitted invitees of the co.unity Hermanus office workspaces)
- Occupiers of unity Hermanus office workspaces are not permitted to make changes to the layout, aesthetics and furniture thereof
- Occupiers of unity Hermanus office workspaces are required to keep their private workspaces tidy and litter should be placed in the bins provided
- Occupiers of unity Hermanus office workspaces are required to allow daily cleaning to be conducted in their offices, on a schedule set down by management
- Occupiers of unity Hermanus office workspaces are required to keep their individual office keys safe are not permitted to allow others access to the said office workspace in their stead
